The Watermelon Patch Preschool & Nursery
because we are the exception...
"It's really simple.
We love children and are passionate about what we do."
- Renee Smith, Owner
Proudly serving our community as a private preschool for the past eleven years in Mobile,
Alabama. At The Watermelon Patch Preschool & Nursery, we believe "daycare" is about so much more than simply providing care. We are a family of loving teachers and families who work together to help children feel safe, valued, and encouraged every single day. From the moment your child walks through our doors, they become a part of our family.
We understand that trusting someone with your child is one of the hardest, most important decisions you will ever make. We know and understand this. This is why we treat every child as if they were our own - with patience, kindness, encouragement, and genuine love. There is nothing more rewarding than watching children grow in confidence, discover new abilities, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Our mission is to help every child become an enthusiastic learner. Through hands-on experiences, age appropriate academics, and opportunities for independent exploration, children are encouraged to think, create, problem-solve, and share their own ideas. We believe learning should be engaging, meaning and fun.
One thing that makes our program truly unique is our special team. Our teachers are moms too , and moms understand children like no one else truly does.
The Watermelon Patch is a diverse and welcoming community serving children 6 weeks to 5 years old. We believe every child should feel embraced, respected, celebrated and love.
To meet the high demands of our families we offer flexible options of 2, 3 or 5 day attendance, full or half days.
At The Watermelon Patch Preschool & Nursery, we are not only preparing children for kindergarten, but for life. We are proud and honored to help each child become confident , capable, compassionate, and ready to take on the big kid world with excitement and a love for learning.
"Where little minds grow, little hearts are nurtured, and every child is loved ... just like they're our own."
